Schacht Wolf Pup LT and Wolf Pup 8.10 Loom
Schacht Wolf Looms are our most popular looms, and for that matter, the most popular in the United States!
Here is a little floor loom you can relatively easily take anywhere with you. The 18” weaving width is ideal for workshops and for all those other narrow projects, without sacrificing functionality.
Schacht uses the same sturdy X-frame, bolt and barrel-nut construction for Wolf Pup looms as for their other Wolf Looms. They also use many of the same components: steel hub friction brake, brake release foot pedal, aluminum harness channels, and an attached beater pin.
The Wolf Pup LT (first image) and 8.10 feature jacks and lamms that allow any harness to be tied to any of its six or ten treadles, in whatever combination your weave structure requires.
The Wolf Pup 8.10 (second image) expands the options of the Wolf Pup line, offering 8-shaft, 10 treadle weaving with an 18” weaving width, and is super compact with a foot print of just 28” wide x 35 ½” deep.
The 4-harness version comes with stainless steel heddle bars and a stainless steel reed (choice of 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 dent), and 300 inserted eye heddles. The 8-harness comes with 600 inserted eye heddles, reed of your choice, 90 tie-up cords, as well as caster wheels. All options come with the Treadle Tracker, a “mini clipboard” for holding your threading and treadling diagrams.
The Wolf Pup folds up to a depth of only 16-19 inches. The attached wheels automatically engage when the loom is in the folded position.
Taller weavers might consider ordering with height extenders which make the loom 2” taller, allowing more leg room.
There is one Wolf Pup 8.10 (without height extenders) that has been used for a few shop projects. We are selling this shop model at a discounted price (reg price $2612), and it is available for pickup only (at our Lynnwood location).
