Lacis Metal Umbrella Swift

Lacis has created an umbrella swift that is lightweight and compact, yet can hold full-size skeins up to 60" in circumference. The plastic-coated metal ribs are gentle and non-snagging for even the most delicate yarns, with an easy and smooth reeling action that puts very little strain on the yarn to be wound. Use in conjunction with a ball winder to create a perfect "yarn cake."

The swift clamps to a table or counter surface up to 1.5 inches thick, and can be operated vertically, horizontally, or at a 45-degree angle. A small handle at the top facilitates winding yarn onto the swift as well, to prepare coned or balled yarn for dyeing. The handy storage case makes it easy put your swift away without catching on everything, and is ideal for travel.
