CLASS 23Q0 Private Class, Beginning Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom
We have made some modifications to our classes in order to keep everyone safe and healthy. The two main changes are that masks are required, and class sizes are limited to one or two students. This new format allows for more flexibility in scheduling and more individualized attention!
Beginning Rigid-Heddle Weaving is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the entire warping and weaving process from start to finish. You will warp the loom and weave your first sample piece by the end of class. The class is divided into two sessions, which are spaced apart by at least a week, to allow time for working at home in between sessions.
For one student, the first session is three hours, and the second session is two hours, for a total of 5 hours.
For two students, the first session is three and a half hours, and the second sessions is two hours, for a total of 5.5 hours.
Wearing of face masks is required during class and inside the storeroom. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be available in the classroom.
Please get in touch with us to set up a class before paying. At least a week's advance notice is preferred. We will need to know:
- if we will be teaching one student or two
- your previous experience, if any
- if you will be borrowing a loom, or using your own portable loom
- if you need yarn or other supplies, or if you have your own
- your availability, general or specific
