EZ Baby Surprise Jacket - CANCELLED
Instructor: Jessica Owens
Elizabeth Zimmerman was one of the best teachers and writers on all things knit in the last century. This well-loved pattern is one of Elizabeth’s best. It’s a wonderful, baby jacket, knit it simply in one color or watch magic symmetry appear when you add colors. It’s a “surprise” because you knit an amorphous flat piece of fabric that when folded just right turns into a lovely baby sweater. Skills covered: garter stitch, inc, dec, picking up stitches, using markers, sewing together, adding yarns, weaving in ends.
Pre-requisite: you must know how to CO, BO, knit.
Bring: Any needles you may have to knit your yarn 4-5.5 stitches per inch and 350-450 yards of DK or worsted weight yarn appropriate for a baby. May be various different yarns from your stash. You may purchase additional materials at the Weaving Works with your class discount if you choose.
