Yashi is a soft and papery "yarn" made from natural raffia. This flat strand weaves up beautifully into placemats, hats, handbags and baskets, and is durable, pliable, and crisp. The sett can vary quite a bit, either leaving the strand to lie flat or compressing it for a denser fabric.
