WSNE Undyed Blueface Leicester (BFL) and Tussah Silk Roving

Many spinners enjoy BFL wool for its luster and body, as well as its ease of drafting. For this roving, the smooth and lofty BFL wool in natural brown and white shades is blended with glossy tussah silk for extra softness and shine. The gentle glow of silk and the light heathering from the darker fibers transforms the familiar and reliable BFL wool into a subtly decadent treat for your spinning or felting projects.

The natural pale, heathered oatmeal color will add depth and shading if you wish to dye it. BFL and silk can be dyed with Jacquard Acid Dyes.

Please note: In January 2023, Ashland Bay sold their fiber business to Worsted Spinning New England (WSNE), and we now order this fiber from their mill instead. Quality of fibers has remained consistent during this transition.
