Drop Spinning Starter Kit
Learn the ancient and satisfying craft of making yarn with a simple spindle and some wool, with our basic starter kit.
Our Wool Spinning Kit contains three natural, undyed colors and one stripey color of Ashford New Zealand Corriedale, as well as a simple wooden spindle. This is all you need to start spinning your own custom yarns! A sample of Eucalan Woolwash is also included, which is just right for washing and setting the twist of your handspun yarn.
If you like more instruction, you can add Jo Reeve's comprehensive book to your kit. This book is a complete look at spinning techniques using a drop spindle and a spinning wheel. Plying, washing, carding techniques, and characteristics of different fibers are all discussed, accompanied by clear illustrations in photographs and diagrams.
