WSNE Natural White Cheviot Top

Cheviot is a main British wool breed. The wool top is open without being slippery, making it an excellent wool for beginner spinners. It is nice and lofty, and a natural creamy white that will dye beautifully.

Cheviot is also inexpensive, making it a good choice for the center of your needle felting project. Some felting books out there that call for "core wool" for this purpose, and we think this must be what they had in mind.

As this is a natural product, expect slight variation from one batch to the next (the photos show possible range of color variation).

Cheviot can be dyed with Jacquard Acid Dyes.

Please note: In January 2023, Ashland Bay sold their fiber business to Worsted Spinning New England (WSNE), and we now order this fiber from their mill instead. Quality of fibers has remained consistent during this transition.
