Our staff is in love with these two perfectly wearable lace shawls by Jared Flood of Brooklyn Tweed, so we're knitting the concurrently. If you're a regular, you may have noticed that Jessica hasn't taken off her yellow-ochre Bridgewater shawl since its creation.

Originally designed by Jared Flood with Classic Elite, Bridgewater is a large square shawl, with a garter center, horseshoe lace edge and delicate leaf border. With the garter knit on the diagonal, it drapes beautifully when wrapped around shoulders.

  • I’ve always been ftasincaed by color and how people respond to it. I think it’s the part of my job that I love the most, and it seems to be the most appreciated from my clients. Choosing colors is alot about a person’s sensabilities, but it’s also about changing the perceptions and the mood of a space. Nothing does it better than color. fun post!

  • I just discovered your site! I live in Covington Washington, just east of Kent. The U District is too far for me, but I may be interested in the KAL of that lovely shawl. Could you please let me know how much it would cost to make it with the beautiful colorplay yarn you show on your web page? Pattern included? Thanks so much!

  • I am unable to attend the knit along this evening. After a long
visit in Seattle, I am home in Alaska. I have been knitting away
on the Rock Island shawl but am still on the lace border. Hope to make
a later meeting of the group. Would like to keep in touch with everyone’s progress via
    email. Regards to all!
