Weaving Works Woolies
For many years, The Weaving Works has collected all manner of handmade garments and accessories year round from staff and customers to be donated to those in need through Mary's Place and First Place Schools. We call these donations Woolies.
The Woolies go on display in the shop for everyone's appreciation after Halloween. Every year we admire the wonderful care and thoughtfulness put in by so many - It's a really lovely time of year! The display is dismounted shortly after Thanksgiving and sent off to their new homes.
As a reminder, we accept woolies year round. Woolies can be anything handmade (knit, crocheted, felted, woven, etc) that can be worn for any age. This includes and is not limited to:
hats, scarves, cowls, shawls, gloves, mittens, handwarmers, sweaters, vests, socks & leg warmers
If you're feeling extra organized, feel free to include the care instructions. Everything will find a home, but machine washable items are appreciated for child sizes.
Of course, thank you to all of you who contributed to this year's Woolies! We look forward to seeing what everyone shares next year.
